Current Mood... Part 2!

Best. Weekend. Ever.
Saturday night was insane. Me and my dad (rock) slipped in throught the guestlist entrance at Brixton academy and met up with Steve, the guy whose number we were given, who whispered "these will get you anywhere. VIP bar's up these stairs. Use them wisely' and handed VIP pass. The holy grail of all my gig-going existence.
So was watching Bedouin Soundclash's set (see below..) in the VIP bar, sipping a carling and hissing down the phone to Hannah 'Guess.. where... I am... the vip bar in brixton..!' "EH??" 'the VIP bar!!' 'Where?? Can't hear ye love! Fireworks!'
Then decided to head down and watch Gogol Bordello shoulder-to-shoulder with common peasants, and it was such a good show. Fuck indie, forget emo- gypsy punk is the way forward. I have never been to a gig with so many dancing people having such a good time. And the band are insane and passionately energetic- the gig ended with this massive marching band drum surfing on the crowd with two of the band members on top. Then steve, the bestower of the holy grail, handed me an access-all-areas pass and lead me into Gogol Bordello's dressing room and introduced me to the band. I was just like.... holy fuck! Nice to meet you! The frontman Eugene Hutz is this insane guy from the Ukraine who sounded exactly like Borat and kept shouting 'I sleep with your mother in law!!' to everyone and cracking open bottles of bubbly. Like no one knows who they are at all (except for what seems to be a huge gay following that appeared out of nowhere) but I actually them, so for me it was bloomin marv. After that I went and saw Bedouin Soundclash in their dressing room- very fit twenty-something american guys- I think i came across as a twat at that point because I couldn't think of anything to say =s At about midnight we headed back to the bar for the afterparty (by this point i think i'd like OD'd on coolness) where I drank and danced for aaages to gypsy punk and reggae with this jamaican bass player from Gogol Bordello, which was random and so fun. They're gonna be big I reckon. Once the whole Borat thing blows over..
So then I was whisked away from the coolest place I've ever been to run very un-elegantly to catch the last train home at about half 1, which was packed, and in which a guy (surfing instructor from devon, 20, cute) asked me for my number across the carriage in a mime fashion. What an ace ending to a great night!
That, in between going to see Borat with loadsa mates- larf n an arf- and visiting my godfather's baby girl made the best weekend I think... ever? Maybe? Think so..
And work was wicked, did my first proper shift, and apart from having only had about 5 hours sleep and nearly crashing the whole system- on the whole it went well!

Hmmm...I was hoping to have something like spam to comment on but no such luck.
Is that guy in the picture with the huge tash OK? Seriously, there's something not quite right about him, or is that just me?
Erm...I would try and comment on what your talking about, but to be honest I have no clue, all these names mean nothing to me, are they bands or Italian dishes?
So yea, I think I'll leave it there for now, feel a bit fidgety and I'm gonna go wonder off somewhere. So...ta ra for now!
